I will start with the most important thing: I ALWAYS thank the Source of my life, the life of all living people, who gives wisdom, necessary advice for any situation. He turned my life around 180 degrees and showed me what I can do and what I am worth in this life. And in general, there is an adjustment every day… Thank you!
Also, thanks to my parents – Mom and Dad, for seeing in me the stubbornness, hard work and resilience of an athlete in time and for bringing me into figure skating, even though they were both gymnasts. And my grandmother picked up on my wishes and helped to realize both her dreams about me and my dreams into life. How often, watching the performances of our best skaters of the USSR on TV, she said: “This is how our Svetlanka will learn to skate!”. And I really tried to answer it.
But most of all, I thank my coaches of the School of Higher Sports Mastery (SHVSM) of the city of Kharkiv, who taught me to skate, work, try to become better, stronger. They are Lidia Mykhailivna Rachynska, Shtorkh Orest Vsevolodovych, the choreographers are Mykhailo Lvovich Satunovskyi, Galina Oleksandrivna Guzovska. They were my first coaches.
And my trainer Lev Semen Pavlovich and choreographer Kostina Olena Oleksandrivna remained the most beloved and faithful. I lived and trained with them for about 10 years of my young life. They made me a real figure skater, a member of the youth national team of Ukraine. My creativity in figure skating began with these people, which continues today. Thank you, MY DEAR, for your patience and your love for me, because I was a stubborn, sometimes unbearable and capricious little girl, and you managed to turn these qualities to my advantage.
And finally, I thank my family: my husband – Stanislav, my children – Yana and Dima, for their support and understanding when I decided to return to FIGURE SKATING after a long break.
Thank you also to those people who in one way or another influenced my life, who supported me or condemned me for certain actions. All this taught me, because as Cornelius Fairkirk said: “Falling and standing up – you grow.”
Now I’m back on MY PATH, I’m doing my FAVORITE THING, and the way I see fit, based on the knowledge I’ve gained – training, studying at the institute, working as a coach, because “the real joy of life is to bring benefit to the achievement of that a goal you found worthy…” (Bernard Shaw)
